Financial Assistance

Limited financial assistance will be available for young scholars who require funding support. The amount of financial subsidy awarded is contingent on the availability of funds and the merit of each application. Funding subsidy may be used for the cost of traveling, accommodation and registration fees. The ICAS 5 Selection Committee will evaluate all applications on a case-by-case basis and decisions made are final. Preference for financial assistance will be given to young scholars from developing countries in Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe.

 

Applications for travel grants should include:

* your affiliation and contact details (as in the other forms)

request for funding (maximum 500 words)

* for individual presenters: your abstract

* for panel presenters: your abstract, the panelabstract and your rol in the panel 

* your bio

* if you are a PhD Student include letter supervisor 

* budget, please note when drafting your budget request:

The grant may consist of:

* registration fee waiver

* (partial) travel costs

* shared hotel accommodation from 2nd to 5th August (the organising committee will arrange your hotel)

 

Not included in the travel grants are:

* visa costs

* insurance costs

* meals
