ICAS 5 is hosted by the Institute of Occidental Studies (IKON) and the Institute of Malay World and Civilization (ATMA), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. The convention is expected to draw more than 1500 specialists in the field of Asian Studies to Kuala Lumpur. Also the ICAS Book Prizes will be awarded at this occasion. Venue is the Kuala Lumpur Conference Centre (KLCC) just opposite the landmark Petronas Towers. As overarching theme for this convention the Organizing Committee of ICAS 5 has chosen, ‘Sharing a Future in Asia’. The Organizing Committee of ICAS 5 is pleased to invite proposals for panels and papers on topics pertaining to the field of Asian Studies.
