Bustan al-Salatin: a Malay Mirror for Rulers is text-orientated, based on the work of Bustan al-Salatin by a scholar from India, Nuruddin al-Raniri. This book portrays the ethical thinking of the Malay sultanates, concentrating on principles for the guidance for rulers in carrying out their duties.
